Join us for a once in a lifetime experience, including the first Flyertalk chartered flights. Initially, Lufthansa was going to provide smaller widebodies for charter, but we have secured a Condor 757-300 for this amazing flight. We have additional aircrafts available if the interest is as high as expected

On this flights the Flight Attendants will actually be there for your safety only. Your servers on board will be your Flyertalk Moderator Crew lead by Purser Randy Petersen on FT1 and tommy777 on FT2. The catering and service on board will be nothing like you have ever experienced on an aircraft before. That is a promise.

Preliminary Program. The flight times and dates are now set, there might be program changes along the way, but flights and dates are nailed down and will not change. We won't post all the events here, get ready for some great surprises under way.

0530 Pick up from the Sheraton
0700 FRA-OSL flight
0800 Participants starting at OSL gets welcomed by SAS
0850 Arrive OSL, parking at the SAS hangar
Program continues
1100 Main DO flight OSL-TLS
1400 Arrive TLS
The exclusive inside tour of the Airbus factory
1800 TLS-FRA
1900 Arrive FRA

A day at LHs main base. Pick up at the Sheraton at 9AM
The event has become pretty popular, so please put yourself on the "I'm interested" list as soon as possible.
The charter will originate in Frankfurt, but you can start in Oslo or Toulouse if you want to. Information on where to show up and when will be posted later.
The charter flight will be on a Boeing 757-300 provided by Condor, D-ABON

The first and last section on the plane will be business class with the middle seat blocked. The main middle cabin will be coach
Prices includes flights FRA-OSL-TLS-FRA (see above post for times), all meals on the ground (including the Flyertalk reception on Thursday), full catering on board (and when I say full, I mean FULL), all taxes, surcharges and fees and of course, Frequent flyer miles.
The prices are regardless of where you originate. You will get a fixed amount of frequent flyer miles regardless of where you originate. If you start in OSL, TLS or FRA, you will get the same amount of miles
Prices are in Euro and needs to be paid in Euro because all costs are in Euro.
Economy Class: 465 Euros
Business Class: 760 Euros
Frequent Flyer miles/points: You will get 15.000 status points/eqms and redeemable miles from BD, LH or CO as a fixed amount for the charter experience. We are working to get this from SK and UA as well. There will be no class of service bonus or more points for business. The big difference will be service. Total flying time is around 6 hours, 3 flights, catering will be served on all. And boy, if you are up front, what a day it will be ;-)
Seating will be assigned aisle or window on request. The later you buy your ticket, the bigger chance you have to end up in a middle seat if you are in the back. Please note that the 20+ moderators (10 on each flight) will all be assigned middle seats since we are serving on board anyways
Ticketing will be done via www.starmegado.com and payment can be done via Paypal
We have set up a website for the DO, it will be password protected. www.starmegado.com xyzzy is in charge of the website. You will have to register for the event via airbusdo@gmail.com to get access to the closed part of the site (see post #4 in this thread for instructions on how to register)
You will receive a password to access the website with the link to the ticketing site on July 28th at 5PM CET. Please don't contact Wideroe, Lufthansa or anyone else in regards to ticketing. Wideroe will provide a live chat to help when the ticketing site is up. An e-ticket will be issued. The miles/points will be applied to your account manually.
Ticketing is now open. Tickets are non refundable, but transferable after approval by the Flyertalk team.
Hotel in Frankfurt
We have negotiated a rate of 99 Euros including breakfast at the Sheraton Frankfurt Airport. All pick ups and activities will originate there. Rooms can be booked on www.starmegado.com
