China Southern, Air China set to buy A380s

China's major airlines are set to place orders for the A380, confirming earlier reports by ATWOnline.
The announcement is due to be made when French President Jacques Chirac visits China Oct. 8-12. According to sources at China Southern, the airline will buy four A380s while Air China will commit to six.
Chinese airlines also are close to announcing a commitment for up to 80 7E7s
