KLM Launches Fare Campaign in Scandinavia
February 17, 2005 - KLM today introduced new fares for all European KLM flights operated out of Scandinavia.
The structural decrease in fares differs for each country, amounting to as much as a 50% reduction in Denmark for example. "Northern Europe is an important market for KLM. We expect introduction of the new fare structure to enable us to further increase our market share," says Joris Holtus - marketing manager KLM Northern Europe.
KLM launched a massive campaign earlier this year in the Dutch market with a new, transparent fare structure and permanently reduced ticket prices. The fare adjustments were prompted by developments in the airline industry including intensifying competition and a drop in average ticket prices.
