All Alaska Airlines flights have been grounded as of Wednesday morning, according to an advisory from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration.

Flights from SkyWest Airlines, which contracts with Alaska, are exempt from the ground stop, FAA said in its advisory.

In a statement shared with media outlets, Alaska said it had experienced an issue “while performing an upgrade to the system that calculates our weight and balance.” The company grounded its flights at about 7:50 a.m. Pacific Time, it said in the statement.
