Nuvel, om det er ett fly der ute som har en ikonisk form utenom B747 må det vel være DC9/MD80.

Og omtrent samtidig som den siste MD-80 maskinen vil forlate flåten vil American begynne utfasingen av de 45 eldste 737-800 maskinene. Eldste vil da ha passert 20 år

Bekreftet, da de nå bestiller 47 787. 22 -8 for å erstatte 767-300 og 25 -9 for å erstatte A330-300 og 777-200ER. Samtidig utsettes leveransen av 40 737-max8 og ordren på 22 A350-900 kanselleres

Minner meg om LH 320 NEO. De har fått inn 2 rader til. Krympet galley foran og bak og pitch og de to toilet bak på en vanlig 320 har blitt flyttet til venstre bakvegg. En knøtt liten og og en knøtt,knøtt liten. Jævlig.

Har snakket med cabincrew ved et par tilfelle , ikke happy med redusert arbeidsplass.

Har hatt tre turer med dem,alle foran gardina og ikke merket noe spesielt med pitch. Har heller ikke forstått hva som er så spesielt med NEO..
Dette med lydnivå . Fly skal jo suse...

De som gledet seg over utsettelsen av MAX’ene får seg imidlertid en nesetyver. Selskapets eldre 737’er skal rekonfugureres med bl.a. MAX-toaletter ..

I forbindelse med den nye bestillingen har og AA kommet med en ny og oppdatert flåteplan. Interessant nok ser det ut som A330-300 maskinene får forlenget levetid hos AA. Disse 9 var det planer om å fase ut ganske snart, men ligger nå inne til minimum ut 2020, som er så langt planen går. Istedet har de akselerert utfasingen av 767-300ER noe

2018:

Inn:
737-8MAX: 16
787-9: 6
CRJ-700: 9 (trolig brukte maskiner)
E175: 6
ERJ-140: 13 (brukte maskiner, som trolig er lagret i dag)


Ut:
MD-80: 19
CRJ-200: 33
Dash-8-100: 3
Dash-8-300: 11

American har bestilt 15 CRJ-900 og 15 E-175 som skal til deres regionale operatører og erstatte mindre maskiner. I tillegg kommer det 15 opsjoner på begge modellene
