Kan det ha noe med frykten for Ebola å gjøre? De har satset en del på Freetown.

Mitt inntrykk var at de heller forsøkte å tjene på å fly hjelpearbeider o.l. som reiser på grunn av ebola-epidemien.

Banjul er en elendig flyplass å satse på som base for et flyselskap. Det er nesten ikke noe marked utover charterturisme, og det som er plukkes fint opp av SN og et par mindre aktører. Tilgangen til støttefunksjoner i Banjul begrenser seg vel fortsatt til at det er rimelige muligheter, men ingen garantier, for å få kjøpt fuel. Gambia er et lite land, med en lite utviklet økonomi, som heller ikke er noe godt utgangspunkt for kapitalkrevende virksomheter.

At mange har fjernet Gambia fra charterprogrammet har vel hatt stor innvirkning på økonomien i landet.
