The National Transportation Safety Board has released preliminary findings in two incidents involving Airbus A330s, the same type of aircraft that crashed into the Atlantic on June 1.
In one of the incidents, a Northwest Airlines A330 experienced changes in speed, altitude and an overspeed alert while flying in Japanese airspace. In another incident, a TAM Airlines A330 experienced a loss of speed and altitude information while it was in cruise mode, flying from Miami to Sao Paulo, Brazil.
