så på nyheter at Polens's Presidents var stuck i ulanbaator.
Virket som de ble någet "flaue" over å måtte sub-lease Miat for å fortsette
turen. Noen som vet alder på denne kjerra?

The Chancellery of the President informed that because of frozen wings of government’s plane, Polish delegation would fly Japan by charted plane to.

Må enten ha vært TU-154M med reg 101 eller 102. Begge to er 18 år. Begge skal ut av tjeneste innen 2010.

Planned at 12.30 (5.30 am CET) flight was delayed because of technical problem of Polish TU-154M. Many Polish journalists saw when Mongolian airport workers were trying to remove plane’s wings. They used hot steam to defrost the plane.
De lufthavnsansatte forsøkte å fjerne vingene..... Det var en drastisk måte å deice på. Inn i hangaren med kun vingene, kanskje.:D

The aircraft had some malfunction and could not depart from ULN. During the night, when standing on the tarmac, wings frozen at -17.
The President continued the journey to Osaka by a chartered MIAT 738.
Now the Tu-154M is repaired (tests on the ground went successfully) and will have undergone a test flight tomorrow morning.
The 101 will have a general revision in Moscow from January to June. When it will leave definitively the PL gov fleet, it's yet unknown, however the Polish PM declared today an immediate purchase of new gov-aircraft to replace the Russian YAKs and TUs (in a special procedure to avoid the strict public procurement provisions).
