Mens det tidligere har vært flere både seriøse og useriøse forsøk på å bygge om A320 til frakter, har nå ST Engineering i Singapore nå faktisk startet jobben på å bygge om, og dermed sertifisere, den første maskinen. Første ombygde A321 kom jo i trafikk på tampen av fjoråret

SINGAPORE—Singapore Technologies (ST) Engineering has inducted its first Airbus A320 for passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversion.

It marks the beginning of the world’s first ever A320P2F conversion. Works will be carried out at ST Engineering’s Seletar facility.

The A320P2F was handed over to launch customer, the United Arab Emirates’ leasing and aerospace company, Vaayu Group. It will now be sub-leased to the new Indian cargo operator, Pradhaan Air Express, which plans to commence services this year.
