Veksten av relativt lange ruter virker fortsette, og American vil neste høst starte opp to nye ruter til New Zealand.
Daglige flighter Dallas-Aukland med 787-9 og 3x ukentlig Los Angeles-Christchurch med 787-8. Begge er sesongruter i den nordlige vintersesongen. I tillegg utvides sesongruten LAX-AKL noe. Dette er jo litt i samarbeid med Qantas som samtidig øker på SYD-DFW, og som for en stund siden annonserte BNE-SFO og BNE-ORD

The airline is also adding the only direct service between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Auckland, New Zealand (AKL)
