n January 11, 2017, about 1521 UTC, a Cessna 560, Norwegian registration LN-IDB, experienced a control upset during departure from the Oslo Airport (ENGM), Gardermoan, Norway. The two pilots on board were not injured. The airplane sustained substantial damage to both wings, Instrument meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The foreign, non-scheduled, repositioning cross-country flight had departed ENGM and continued to its destination, Sadefjord Airport (ENTO), Torp, Norway.

The airplane had flown from Switzerland to Oslo. After a quick ground stop and a long high-speed taxi in reported light rain and snow, the airplane departed for ENTO with just the two pilots on board. They did not deice the airplane on the ground. After takeoff and raising the landing gear and flaps the airplane became uncontrollable. The airplane turned left 90 degrees and descended coming close to the ground. The crew regained control of the airplane and continued to their destination. During the event, the airplane encountered high positive and negative G-forces. A post-incident examination revealed structural damage to both wings.

This investigation is under the jurisdiction of the government of Norway. Any further information regarding the investigation can be obtained from:

. After takeoff and raising the landing gear and flaps the airplane became uncontrollable.

My guess is that the pilots had to change underwear shortly thereafter and that they swore up and down that from now on, they would always and always de-ice on the ground and if there is doubt, there is no doubt, please God, let me get away with this one, just this one time and I promise I will de-ice my little jet with the tiny little wings with no margin for no error and we were stupid and dear God never again and yes God now I realize this is no DC-3 with no thick fat wing that can carry a lot of ice if it has to and I am lucky to alive despite my stupidity:(

Et godt eksempel på "learning the hard way"?
