No oral history of the Pacific Northwest would be complete without an account of what happened on a summer day in 1955, as 350,000 Seattle-area residents and top brass from the nation's airlines gathered to watch the Gold Cup on Lake Washington.

Alvin "Tex" Johnston, Boeing's chief test pilot, came in over the lake at 300 feet, pulled the jet up in a 35-degree climb, rotated the plane upside down, and did a complete roll. He then turned back toward the lake and did it again.

LN-MOW, God bok, og mange burde vite at "roller" har vaert gjort med naer sagt alle flytyper (lite publisert siden mange var ikke "godkjen, inkl. 747!). Var selv med som crew i 1967 i Polaris Air Transport' CV-340 fra RTM-FBU naar Capt. Knut Rommen gjorde en perfekt roll.

Joe Sutters bog er klatr en must-read. Har den som Paperback og det kunne være det snart var på tide at læse den igen ;)
 
Robert J. Serling har utgitt mange gode bøker, selv om de handler for det meste om Amerikanske flyselskapers historie (North Central, TWA, Continental, Eastern, Western, American, og Alaska). Legend & Legancy: the story of Boeing and it's people kan også anbefales.
